Attorney Paul Grech Secures Acquittal in Child Battery Case

The Law Offices of Grech & Packer is proud to announce another favorable case result on behalf of one of our clients. Due to the vigilant and dynamic courtroom work by Attorney Grech, our recent client, "Brian R." was rightfully found not guilty of Child Battery.

Brian R. stood accused of battery of his teenage child. Brian had one strike under California's controversial "three strikes" law, which adds significantly more time to prison sentences for repeat violent offenders. Because of this, Brian was facing over 12 years in prison if convicted of this charge.

However, there was more to the story than the prosecution wanted to elaborate on: Brian was in the middle of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife. Attorney Grech fully confronted this fact and detailed just how the allegations against his client could play into Brian's ex-wife's hands concerning the custody matter.

Ultimately, the jury agreed. They concluded that the battery allegation was fabricated in order to discredit Brian R. in the current custody battle and found him not guilty. Attorney Grech personally thanked the jurors for their vigilant and discerning work in this case.

We congratulate Attorney Paul Grech on yet another courtroom victory. It is cases like these—in which the best possible outcome is assuredly secured—that truly speak the quality counsel and dedication our firm is capable of.
